An interesting topic was brought up yesterday... and the thought of it still lingers in my mind..

yesterday we talked about instruments... mainly saxophone hehee.. cos i am a saxophonist...

My current saxophone will be a year old with me in dec... my father bought it for me.. since i have interest in it.. he bought it from his fren shop... and tats when i started to own a saxophone on my own...

however, guess this sax will have to be casted aside soon when i buy a new one... my current sax have gave me intonation problems... and well.. its kinda difficult to control... it can't last long... and further more.. i can't play tat any longer... as i progress.. i got to upgrade my saxophone to suit my progress... just like computers.. using a pentium 2 will just kill me as it operates too slow...

talked to mum abt getting a thousand plus sax compared to my hundred plus one... well.. she dun seemed angry... though she asked me to wait til next year then buy... guess she understands I need something better... I also have decided to take ownership for my sax and that i will at least pay half of it myself.. so that i will feel the pinch... and treasure it dearly... ( tat does not mean i dun treasure my current one.. i do hor)

abt the new sax.. saw the catologue... it does seems nice and cheaper than those in the market... its has good rating from professionals... hhhmm.. how can i not say no.. heehee... well.. one problem bothered me alot.. will i regret a year later and ask for a new one... if i to buy this sax.. i will want to keep it for at least 8 years... to use it to the max.. hehe.. i can't be buying a new sax every year.. i will go broke.. well... i will see abt that..

Saxophone Quartet!?

heard of it?.. it is a group of 4 saxophonist... which consist of a soprano/alto player, an alto player, a tenor player and a baritone player... or some other arrangement.. well.. just as long as you get a 4-part voice... hehe

personally I heard abt it.. may have heard some recordings... but seen it with my own eyes... it is a definate nono... but wouldn't tat be nice see one... haha.. or even be in one of it.. tats kinda interesting... this might also be a good chance for earning some extra bucks over the weekend!

I m kinda interested in forming one.. hehe.. but who to get to be in the team.. and with my present skill... i'll sound like a total shit... It was atrocious yesterday... no control... and i kept getting distracted by other sounds... can't possibly carry on... i need lots of basic training... no doubt my sight-reading is getting better... but a bit only.. (ps.. i think my eye sght is failling... can see far.. but near.. cannot focus well.. sob sob.. so much abt perfect eye-sight)

back to basics... i missed out on these trainings due to the new semester timetable... haix.. but i wanna strive hard to be better... 2006 seems like a great year... as there wil be many performances... however it will be my second year in poly... and guess i got to schedule my time properly in order to perform well in both areas...
